Jenelle Evans and David Eason Reportedly Face Tax Lien of Over $46K After Failing to Pay the State
Things might not be all smooth sailing for estranged couple Jenelle Evans and David Eason right now, but it looks like things have just gotten even rockier.
The former Teen Mom 2 stars have apparently split as of last weekend, after David allegedly threatened to kill Jenelle's friend, pistol-whipped him, and was subsequently arrested. The mom-of-three spoke out about the incident on both Facebook and to gossip website CeleberNation, explaining, "I'm shaking and saddened by this, it's time for me to move on from this relationship and find happiness for my kids and myself elsewhere." If she follows through with what she's saying, she'll be leaving her husband in the dust. However, a new report proves the two can't be done with each other just yet, as they've got some serious tax issues to take care of.
The Ashley reports that Jenelle and David were hit with a tax lien of over $46,000 (per The Sun) earlier this month, with a North Carolina court clerk reportedly confirming that the controversial pair failed to pay the state for the tax year of 2017. The exact number owed is a reported $46,406.70. Ouch.
As The Ashley reminds us, both Jenelle and David were filming with MTV back in 2017, so the big paychecks should've been flowing. As for now, however, neither stars are employed with a network (to our knowledge), and Jenelle's cosmetics brand doesn't seem to be booming. Last month, she was called out for what appeared to be reselling of old eyebrow kits for her JE Cosmetics company, and her followers haven't seemed all too keen to jump on her products.
Neither Jenelle nor David have spoken out about this tax lien report, but with all the other drama going on in their lives, we're not surprised.
