Jenelle Evans Says She's Going to Fight for Full Custody of Jace After Getting Back Other Kids
Life is looking up for ex Teen Mom 2 stars Jenelle Evans and David Eason, as the controversial couple has just regained custody of their children. And it looks like Jenelle is not stopping there.
After David shot and killed Jenelle's dog Nugget back in April, Child Protective Services (CPS) got involved, which resulted in a weeks-long court case to determine if they were fit to parent their kids: 11-year-old Maryssa, five-year-old Kaiser, and two-year-old Ensley. Ultimately, the pair lost custody--but it didn't take long for them to get the children back.
Earlier this week, Jenelle and David announced that they had regained custody of the three kids, and the 27-year-old reality star just told Us Weekly that she's going to try to get nine-year-old Jace back, too.
"Jace will remain with my mom, normal schedule every other weekend visits and two-week visits on school breaks," Jenelle explained of the arrangement, adding that she's "planning on getting full custody."
Jace has been in the care of Jenelle's mom, Barbara Evans, for most of his life. As Jenelle was on and off drugs for years, proving she was not responsible enough to be a parent, her mother made sure Jace had a place in her home. By 2017, Barbara had won permanent custody.
We're not sure how tough the process would be for Jenelle and David to get full custody of Jace, but it's clear they're going to try.
