John Corbett Reveals He's in the Sex and the City Revival

Any Aidan Shaw stans here?! As an avid Sex and the City watcher for as long as I can remember, I always rooted for Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan to end up together. Of course, that didn't happen. Carrie cheated on Aidan with Mr. Big, and ended up with him at the show's conclusion. But still, there might be hope for Aidan after all, as the actor who portrayed him has just come out and revealed he'll be in the revival.

That's right, John Corbett says he'll appear in the Sex and the City revival. While speaking to Page Six on April 15, the two-time Golden Globe nominee confirmed, "I’m going to do the show," saying it's all "very exciting." And when the publication asked how much we can expect to see him, Corbett shared, "I think I might be in quite a few [episodes]."

I'm already speculating how and when we'll encounter Aidan during the show's revival, and I can't wait to see the actor return to his lovable role! As for the rest of the cast, Kim Cattrall will be notably absent from the revival. Fans will know that the actress who played the iconic Samantha has had drama with her former co-stars for years. According to Cosmopolitan, she stated in 2017 of her SATC cast members: "We’ve never been friends."

Flash forward to 2021, and the Sex and the City revival was announced--excluding Kim Cattrall. Though the show will never be the same without Samantha in the mix, I can't help but be excited for what this special will bring to the table. And now that Aidan Shaw is involved, I'm even more curious.
