John Krasinski Explains Why He Would 'Absolutely' Do an 'Office' Reunion
One of our favorite actors, John Krasinski, best known as Jim Halpert in The Office, just said once again that he would totally return to the series for a reunion. The four-time Emmy nominee spoke to Esquire about his current projects and the beloved role that launched his career.
"The Office was absolutely everything to me. I mean, it is my beginning and my end," Krasinski gushed. "I'm pretty sure at the end of my career I'll still be known for Jim. That was my first experience with Hollywood. It was the first creative family I've ever had. In many ways, they will always be the most important people in that most important experience in my career. So yeah, if they did a reunion, I would absolutely love to do it."
This is hardly the first time Krasinski has expressed an interest in getting the Dunder Mifflin gang back together again. In 2018, he pitched an idea while speaking with The Wrap, stating:
"The original British show, the best thing was they had a Christmas episode — it was a one-off. I would love to do that. I think it would be a sort of 'Where Are They Now' kind of thing. That would be really fun...We need it. I'd totally be down if everyone else is too."
However, not everyone from the series is dying to revisit it. As we previously reported, Steve Carell most recently addressed the possibility on Saturday Night Live, saying, "It was a great experience. I love all those people, but I just don’t think it’s the best idea. I think maybe we should just leave it alone."
Even if an Office reunion doesn't happen, Krasinski has a few ways to keep busy. For starters, his film A Quiet Place II hits theaters on March 20, 2020. The fan-favorite actor directed, produced, and wrote the screenplay, so he's certainly had his hands full while he waits for a potential Scranton revisit. And in the meantime, check out these awesome gifts for your Dunder Mifflin obsessed friends!
