Justin Bieber Shares Emotional Explanation on Why He's Not Making Music
Justin Bieber has gone through some rough patches--and isn't willing to put his mental health in jeopardy any longer.
After a slew of unfortunate incidents, involving a DUI in 2014, repeated drug abuse, and a later-revealed sex addiction, Justin has come a long way to get to the place he's at now. The singer is currently happily married to Hailey Baldwin, has taken up faith, and is on the road to full recovery. But that doesn't mean healing can happen overnight.
Earlier this month, the 25-year-old star took to Instagram to ask his fans to pray for him. "Been struggling a lot. Just feeling super disconnected and weird," he opened up to his 106 million followers. And now, he's given us a detailed explanation on why he's taken a break from music. "So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album," he began his caption yesterday.
"I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that," Justin continued, later explaining, "I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be."
"I will come with a kick ass album ASAP," he was sure to confirm.
We 100% understand where Justin is coming from, no matter how desperate we are for new music. The singer's last album Purpose was released all the way back in 2015, but if he needs time away from the pressure of making an album to protect his mental health, we are so here for it.
