Kailyn Lowry Reveals She Hopes to Film Home Birth for 'Teen Mom 2'
Kailyn Lowry is currently pregnant with her fourth child, and it sounds like she's doing things a little bit differently this time around. When it comes time for the Teen Mom 2 star to deliver her baby, she's planning on doing so in the comfort of her own home.
During a recent episode of her Coffee Convos podcast, the reality star dished on her plans to have an at-home birth, and The Ashley shared all the details. “I definitely want to do a home birth, and I’m going to film it…I hope,” Kail said. “I say that now, but when I’m in active labor I don’t know what I’m going to do.” Of course, this means the baby's birth would be broadcasted on MTV, something that's never been done before on the Teen Mom franchise.
“They’ve never seen a home birth,” Kail explained during the podcast. “I told one of the producers, ‘I’m definitely willing to film it as much as I can on my own, but I do not want the crew there.’”
Privacy issues aside, Kailyn revealed she's more concerned about having the crew there primarily due to COVID-19. “It’s not something I’m OK with, but they seem to be on-board,” she said. “I would love to film it, just to have my own personal video of it.”
Kailyn will be giving birth any day now, but fans will have to be patient for a little bit longer. The next season of Teen Mom 2 is expected out late this summer, The Ashley reports.
