Kardashians Win $10 Million in Cosmetics Lawsuit

Any KarJenner fan knows about KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics, but hardly any can remember Kardashian Beauty, the brand that Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian created back in 2013. The brand was sold at Ulta before it got caught up in legal drama, which as of this week has finally been resolved after nearly three years.

TMZ reports that, according to court documents, the Kardashian sisters won $10 million after Hillair Capital Management sued them for failing to hold up their end of the licensing deal to promote Kardashian Beauty.

KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics are the babies of Kim and Kylie, respectively. Each sister owns and manages operations of her company, but that wasn’t the case for Kardashian Beauty. Through a licensing deal, Hillair Capital Management put up $10 million after Boldface, the previous business partner, began to struggle. Hillair offered the money on the premise that the Kardashian sisters would use their platforms to promote the brand.

In 2016, Hillair claimed that Kim, Khloé, and Kourt hadn’t held up their end of the agreement and hence filed a civil lawsuit against the trio. The firm aimed to win back its $10 million plus the estimated earnings that the brand was projected to bring in had the sisters were promoting it, which was an about $180 million.

Of course, the girls fought the suit and the case had been in arbitration until Monday, when a panel of judges rejected Hillair's claims and ordered the firm to pay nearly $7.4 million, with an additional $3.2 million in interest, to the sisters. Now, Hillair can either contest that decision or decide to pay the girls and end it all.

All the while, we're just wondering if anyone actually used Kardashian Beauty products?
