It would be an understatement to say people were shocked when reports claiming Kate Beckinsale and Pete Davidson were hooking up began earlier this year. The pair apparently were seen flirting and leaving a Golden Globes after-party together this January, and since then, have been photographed together on multiple occasions.

And if their hilarious viral makeout photo alongside Queer Eye's Antoni Porowski didn't confirm their relationship for everyone, Pete explicitly spoke on it during a recent episode of Saturday Night Live. "Apparently people have a crazy fascination with our age difference, but it doesn't really bother us," the comedian declared. In case you missed it, Kate is 45, while Pete is 25.

And now, the actress is finally weighing in on all the attention surrounding their relationship, after multiple clapbacks at trolls on Instagram. During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Kate admitted she's "surprised" by the media's obsession.

"I’ve never been in this position before — never dated anybody who comes with their own bag of mischief," Kate explained. "It’s all quite shocking, and something to get used to. I think if you liked the person less, you would bow out of it. If that were the main thrust of the relationship, there would be a problem. But it’s not."

Sounds like she's really into Pete!

The comedian famously was engaged to Ariana Grande for a few months in 2018, while the actress was married to Len Wiseman from 2004 to 2016. Prior to that, Kate dated Michael Sheen from 1995 to 2003, with whom she shares one daughter, 20-year-old Lily Mo Sheen.

Do we ship Kate and Pete? Honestly, I'm into it.
