The masses' bark is often worse than their bite, but still, ouch.

According to Daily Mail, Kendall Jenner is facing major backlash from other pet owners on social media who are claiming the supermodel was using a "painful" pronged collar on her dog.

The uproar started when Kendall was photographed walking her Doberman Pinscher. The shot from August began recirculating on Twitter and animal lovers clung to the pet's silver collar, claiming it looks similar to ones with metal prongs that poke a dog's neck if it pulls on its leash.

The collar can be seen in the photo below.

Twitter users were quick to call Kendall out, not only saying the pronged collar is "painful," but accusing the reality star of being "gross" and "cruel" for her making her canine companion wear it.

The Humane Society describes prong collars as those with "fang-shaped metal links, or prongs, with blunted points" which "pinch the loose skin of your dog's neck" when pulled. They're often used for negative reinforcement of discomfort to train dogs.

It is unclear if Jenner is using the collar to train her pet. With that in mind, many people came to her defense, explaining that the collar was ultimately harmless, applying "pressure" rather than actually hurting the dog.
