Khloé Kardashian Comes to Kim's Defense After She's Accused of Not Donating to Australian Bushfires Relief
Khloé Kardashian took to Twitter this week to stick up for her sister, Kim Kardashian. A few days ago, Kim was dragged by users for allegedly not donating to the Australian bushfires relief. The 39-year-old businesswoman first clapped back at speculation, tweeting, “nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we have to publicize everything.”
Now, Khloé is weighing in on the debate. The 35-year-old mom-of-one posted a series of tweets in Kim's defense, including a Bible verse which stated:
"Modern King James Version: Therefore when you do your merciful deeds, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward.”
The Good American co-founder continued in a series of tweets:
“We often bring attention to causes and ways you can donate. It’s our job to bring awareness to situations so we all can help as a human race. We Frequently post/speak about organizations/websites where we can all help save our planet. Good deeds should be done with intention and not for attention. We are all blessed to be able to bless others even if it is in the slightest way. But we do not need to be boastful about that. Be boastful in regards to teaching others how they may be able to help as well.”
Followers had mixed reactions to the messages, with many praising the reality star for promoting integrity, and others still criticizing the family for environmentally-harmful lifestyle choices, such as taking private jets and wearing fur.
At the end of the day, this is a never-ending battle, but hopefully Khloé’s tweets mean that the Kardashian-Jenners are indeed donating to environmental relief efforts.
