Khloé Kardashian Doesn't Want Negativity Around Tristan Thompson or Jordyn Woods Over 'KUWTK'
By Ryan Carroll
It’s been a turbulent several months for Khloé Kardashian. Since February, she’s been enveloped in controversy over her now-ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, who was caught allegedly cheating on her with Jordyn Woods, the best friend of her sister Kylie Jenner. The intensity of the fiasco flared back up on Sunday, when the incident hit the screen on Keeping Up With the Kardashians--but this week, Kardashian said that she doesn’t want negativity to be directed at Thompson or Woods.
“I don't think there needs to be negativity anywhere," Kardashian said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I think it's just a story being told, but anybody picking a side or... condemning any human, I think this is a part of life. I'm not saying it's a good part."
Her thoughts on the issue came in response to comments by co-star and friend Scott Disick, who said, “I think a lot of people started getting too caught up in the negative side of things when, in actuality, the only thing that really matters is Khloe and her baby, True, and that's it. Nothing else.” He added that "All support should be going for her and how she feels and that's it.”
The first-parter KUWTK episode depicting the scandal was subject to a polarized response; while many expressed disgust with Thompson and Woods, others criticized the Kardashians for patronizing Woods, with some even saying Kim assumed a white savior attitude.
As for Kardashian herself, she refrained from being involved in the episode. Previously, she commented that she would not be watching the two-part episode with the cheating scandal, and told ET that “I personally don't watch it back because... I already know what happens and it's just a little too toxic for me to keep reliving stuff like that, so I stay off social.”
We’re glad to see that Kardashian is attempting to keep things positive following the scandal. While the issue of Thompson and Woods’ cheating is sensitive, it also requires respect and fair treatment of everyone involved.
