Khloé Kardashian is Getting Slammed for Promoting Weight Loss Shakes Yet Again
Fans and followers of Khloé Kardashian were hoping she left this garbage in 2019 (and no, I’m not talking about Tristan Thompson). But lo and behold, here we are in the second week of 2020, and the Good American co-founder is back at promoting weight loss shakes.
Cosmopolitan reports that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star took to her Instagram and Twitter this week to post an advertisement for Flat Tummy Shakes. I won’t bore you with the alleged “health benefits” she goes on about in the lengthy caption, but needless to say, users were not having it.
The comments range from people calling the post “disappointing,” to others calling her out for promoting a harmful body image, to many tagging actress Jameela Jamil, who dragged Khloé in the past for promoting “NON-FDA approved” laxatives.
Things also got pretty savage on Twitter, with many users voicing their frustration with the ad when there is so much going on in the world, such as the Australian bushfires, and because of the potential to harm people with dangerous fad diets.
One user posted:
“Australia is on fire but why donate money to fundraisers for that or help promote them when you have a huge platform when you could promote a brand that reinforces an idealised body that’s next to impossible to get without damaging yourself.”
Another took no prisoners, writing:
“Reminder that most peoples’ [sic] tummies shouldn’t be flat so if yours isn’t flat you are completely normal and you don’t have to go 'back' to anything because that’s just not how your organs work!!!! Also our tummies won’t be flat once we eat this entire family.”
As Queen Elsa once said, it is time for KoKo to let it go.
