Khloé Kardashian Just Went Off on Troll Accusing Her of Using True as an 'Accessory'

There are few babies as washed in limelight as those of the Kardashian-Jenner family, from North and Saint, to Chicago and True, to Stormi and Psalm. In some cases, though, the mothers of the family can catch their share of flak for their treatment of their kids--something that Khloé Kardashian responded to this week, going off on a user who said she used her daughter as an accessory.
Per Us Weekly, conflict began on Instagram when Kardashian posted a photo of herself with her daughter, True, with the duo wearing corresponding outfits. One commenter, viewing the photo as one in which True was simply a background fixture, commented “[You] do know that your baby isn’t an accessory right?"
Kardashian, in response, let slip the dogs of war (or, perhaps more accurately, the dogs of clapback comments). “Would you like a parent NOT to create memories and traditions with their child? Would you like someone else to watch my child and me to do these things on my own?” she said. “I am her mother and we will celebrate life together every day. True and I are creating magical memories TOGETHER FOREVER.”
This comment follows a long history of controversy surrounding the Kardashian-Jenner children. Previously, cultural critics and commentators have raised the concern that women of the family use their biracial children in order to give themselves license to culturally appropriate the aesthetics of black culture.
Regardless, we’re glad that Kardashian was able to stand up for herself--while the family can definitely get down to some problematic antics, it’s important to draw a line somewhere.
