Kiernan Shipka to star opposite Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evens in holiday event film 'Red One'

Kiernan Shipka has been cast to star in an upcoming holiday event film, titled Red One, opposite Holiday legends Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, and Chris Evens. Despite being better known for her spooky counterpart Sabrina Spellman in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Riverdale, the actress is trading broomsticks and cobwebs for Christmas trees and cookies (kind of).

Kiernan is joining the cast of Prime Video's holiday-themed action-adventure movieRed One, which already had Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans attached to star. Information about the film, written by Chris Morgan and with Dwayne Johnson's Jumanji collaborator Jake Kasdan in the director's chair, is still mostly a mystery.

Developed by Johnson's Seven Bucks production company, it's currently described in vague studio speak as "a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre."

But before its release, get ready to see Shipka show up in horror comedyTotally Killer and new dramaWildflower, later this year.
