Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner Reportedly Weren't Told About That Embarrassing Emmys Joke

Well, that's awkward. You probably heard by now that Kim Kardashian Kendall Jenner were asked to present an award at the Emmys on Sunday night. The only problem was that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars weren't told that one of their lines was meant to be a joke.
The sisters appeared on stage to present the award for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program, as Kim read from the teleprompter, “Our family knows firsthand how truly compelling television comes from real people just being themselves.” This was apparently very funny to the audience and laughter erupted. Kendall continued by saying, “Telling their stories, unfiltered and unscripted.”
According to US Weekly, the moment was just as cringe-worthy as it seemed, because the two reality stars were “not briefed” about the joke. However, despite a source explaining that the situation “was definitely a bit awkward,” they added that “Kim and Kendall were good sports about it.”
Kylie Jenner was also supposed to present the award with her sisters but the makeup mogul was too sick to attend the prestigious event. Despite the hiccup, her sisters did a great job without her. Kim stunned in a black velvet gown by Vivienne Westwood and Kendall wore a Richard Quinn gown with a latex Vex turtleneck underneath.
