Kim Kardashian Faces Backlash After She Sends 'Lots of Love' With a Selfie Amid Coronavirus Crisis

While celebrities such as Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, along with Steph and Ayesha Curry, are busy spending their time and money to help those affected by the devastating Coronavirus crisis, Kim Kardashian is catching heat on social media for tackling the pandemic a slightly different way—with a selfie and a warm wish.
The 39-year-old businesswoman took to Twitter and Instagram this week to share a selfie, posing with a kissy face, and writing, "Sending everyone lots of love today." While many fans were quick to send love back and compliment the beautiful shot, others weren't too amused. As reported by Cosmopolitan, Twitter users immediately started trolling the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, with both memes and pleads for real help.

People responded with messages such as, "Yes your duck lip selfie is what’s going to help everyone during this time," "How many testing kits could your grotesque wealth buy, Kim? How many hospital beds? How many surgical masks?," and "I don’t need kisses I need money."
Kim faced similar responses on Instagram, with one commenting, "Send us some money, Kim." Another said, "Can you send us some money and food please thank u," and a third wrote, "Send me hand sanitizer, is sold out in the UK [crying face emoji]."
People clearly aren't happy with Kim's attempt to help, but she jumped onto Twitter again to advise her followers to take the pandemic seriously. Urging people to stay home, the mom-of-four added in her series of tweets, "Also a reminder that this virus does not discriminate against race, age, gender, etc. This applies to us all and we will get through this together. Sending everyone lots of love and keeping everyone in my family’s prayers."
Please everyone, especially people who are young and healthy, pls take the directive to stay home seriously if you care about the health and safety of your mom, father, grandparents, sisters, brothers, children and community.

We'll see if the Kardashian-Jenner family announce any donations for those affected by Coronavirus, or if they will continue handling the situation in their own way.
