Kim Kardashian is 'legally' a single woman again
Kim Kardashian is no longer a West! Well ... legally that is. The SKIMS founder and reality star has officially been declared as a "single woman" following a judge's decision in court made in favor of the KUWTK star against her estranged husband Kanye West - who has been harassing her new beau, Saturday Night Live comedian, Pete Davidson, online.
In a virtual court hearing on Wednesday, the reality star also officially and legally dropped "West" from her last name.
Kim Kardashian, who filed for divorce from the rapper last year, made the request in December to become legally single, but after a turbulent few months between herself and her ex, she can now finally release her breath and move one step closer to moving on with her life.
While this is a major win for the soon-to-be qualified lawyer, there's still one more court case to go before she can finally put this behind her.
The BBC explained:
"Wednesday's ruling - granting Kardashian's request for a "bifurcated divorce" - means that divorce proceedings will be split into two parts - the first settling her legal name and marital status, now resolved, and the second part involving custody and financial assets."
