On Friday, Kim Kardashian was allowed to go in to visit death row inmate Rodney Reed as a legal visitation as she continues to fight for his freedom, TMZ reports. And during their visit, sources say the warden knocked on the door to tell Reed some very good news. On Instagram, the mom-of-four shared the emotional experience and news with her followers.

Today, I had the honor of meeting #RodneyReed in person and the privilege of sitting with him when he got the news that the highest court in Texas had issued a stay of execution and remanded the case back to the trial court for further consideration. Words cannot describe the relief and hope that swept over the room in that moment. That hope had been building over the last few weeks around Rodney’s case. We have seen Democrats and Republicans come together. We have seen grassroots activists and lawmakers link arms. We have heard people all around the globe speak up. And all because of a deep belief that every man or woman accused of a crime - especially one punishable by death - deserves the chance to have all available evidence considered. So grateful for the commitment and passion of everyone who voiced their support, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for their recommendation to issue a 120 day reprieve, and the courts for issuing a stay!

"Today, I had the honor of meeting Rodney Reed in person and the privilege of sitting with him when he got the news that the highest court in Texas had issued a stay of execution and remanded the case back to the trial court for further consideration," Kim explained in her lengthy caption above.

As fans know, the KUWTK star has been tirelessly trying to delay the execution of Reed. She, along with many other high-profile celebrities, believe there to be substantial evidence to exonerate him of a 20-year-old murder case.

Using her celebrity platform and legal pull, Kim has been helping numerous allegedly falsely-accused prisoners and continues to focus on the greater good. In her message of support to her fans, she noted that, "every man or woman accused of a crime – especially one punishable by death – deserves the chance to have all available evidence considered."

Kanye West was also there, as he performed in the jail, and wanted to meet with Reed as well. However, getting permission to visit a death row inmate is rare and tough. Unless, of course, you are powerful reality-star-turned-law-student, Kim Kardashian.
