Kim Kardashian Talks 'Addictive' Fame While Interviewed by Kanye West for Vogue Arabia
Vogue Arabia is dishing out some amazing content for its September Issue. The magazine features Kim Kardashian as its cover girl and her interview is conducted by husband Kanye West. The aesthetic of the shoot was orchestrated by Manfred Thierry Mugler, who worked with Kardashian for her look at the 2019 Met Gala.
Vogue Arabia Editor-in-Chief Manuel Arnaut shared how excited the magazine is to feature both Kim and Kanye in a totally fresh perspective, saying:
"The shoot and interview reveal a side to Kim Kardashian that many have never seen before. Her interview with Kanye West is both real and raw, as she talks personally about her career and family life. It was inspiring to assemble this unique level of talent.”
Kanye dove into all parts of Kim's life for the interview, especially her interest in law. She spoke on the subject:
“There is a misconception that I don’t actually have to study and that I’ve bought my way into getting a law degree – that’s absolutely not true… Being underestimated and over-delivering is my vibe.”
Kim also shared what her message is to her fans, saying, “I try to be a good person and to take my mistakes and make them into a better experience — to learn and grow from them and move on.” When Kanye asked her about their first date, which ultimately led to an amazing marriage and four kids, Kim said, “I was like, ‘Damn, why did I waste so much time and energy? Why didn’t I do this sooner?’”
Kanye then asked Kim to address her fame and what it's like to live in the public eye. She said:
“Even in my darkest of times I don’t regret putting myself out there for the world to see. People have shared with me over the years how much it has helped them to feel less alone when dealing with their own adversity. I love having a voice and I appreciate the platform that I have been given, even though I do wish I could have more privacy at times.”
Kanye pushed this point further and asked Kim about money and fame, to which she admitted, “Money was always the goal but I was obsessed with fame, like, embarrassingly obsessed… I do agree that fame can be addictive.”
