Kit Harington Spotted in London After Finishing Up Rehab Stint

Actor Kit Harington has been through a tumultuous several weeks, checking into a wellness center due to alcohol use and stress before the premiere of the finale to Game of Thrones. While fans expressed concern for Harington during this time, a spot of good news has emerged, with the actor being spotted on a stroll in London.

The actor had entered a luxury rehabilitation center in Connecticut reportedly in April, though this news did not become widely available until after the premiere of the Thrones finale in May. According to Harington’s rep, the actor had “decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”

Harington has been candid about the physical and emotional toll of the show’s final season upon him. In an interview with GQ Australia (via PopSugar) prior to entering rehab, he remarked that he had felt fine during his final day of shooting, but, "Then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit. Then they called, 'Wrap!' and I just...broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again."

“Everyone was broken at the end,” he added. “I don't know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so...tiring. We were sleep deprived...I love this, it's been the best thing in my life, I'll miss it one day — but I'm done.”

As for us, we’re happy to see that Harington is back on track following his stint in the rehab center--the pressures of being on such a hugely successful show must be great, and to add in the actual exhaustion of working on set, he definitely deserved the break.
