Parking tickets are a common problem, but it turns out that if you're Kit Harington, on at least one occasion his tenure role on Game of Thrones will come to the rescue.

The actor, now 35, once revealed that his famous "death" scene at the end of season five actually got him out of a ticket in an interview at the time.

Now, in case your memory needs refreshing, it was one of the show's most nail-biting cliffhangers, and after Jon Snow appeared to die, fans had to wait a whole year to find out if he was really gone...

He made the revelation during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in 2016, where he explained how he was once pulled over for "being a bit naughty and going over the speed limit."

Elsewhere in the interview, the actor opened up about how hard it was to keep the secret as he was told keep it to himself and could not even inform his parents. But he couldn't help himself and admitted "a few people knew quite quickly."

Thankfully, the only member of the public who found out was the police officer, and the actor even kept it a secret from his fellow Game of Thrones cast mates - despite his character's importance in the show.
