Kristina Schulman Reveals She Was Contacted About Possibility of Becoming Next Bachelorette

Right before Clare Crawley became the frontrunner for The Bachelorette, it kind of seemed like anyone’s game. Now Bachelor in Paradise alum Kristina Schulman has revealed that she was among those contacted about the possibility of starring in Season 16. And despite random rumors that she might be dating The Bachelor’s Tyler Cameron, Kristina was single at the time she got the call, and was totally eligible to have a house full of men compete for her heart.

“Fun story,” she posted on Instagram. “I was shopping at Zara with my bestie @kbrew1234 when I got the call asking if I’d consider being The Bachelorette...”

Kristina was a fan favorite on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor, and went on to be a cast member in multiple seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, where she ended up in an awkward love triangle with Dean Unglert and Danielle Lombard.

So we now know that producers contacted Kristina about The Bachelorette. But she was part of a crowded field which included Kelsey Weier, Tayshia Adams, and Tia Booth—that was before Clare swooped in and stole the show.

Kristina's fans are pretty disappointed. “You should have been picked and given a chance. You deserve it,” wrote an Instagram user on one of her posts. But maybe Kristina got off easy this time—Season 15 Bachelorette Hannah Brown is a seriously tough act to follow.
