Though Lamar Odom’s life has been, shall we say, turbulent over the past several years, it appears the star is finally finding his footing, sharing the struggle of his drug abuse with the world. Now, Odom is poised to step back into the spotlight with a new television appearance--on Dancing With the Stars Season 28.

Per Us Weekly, the news emerged this week on Good Morning America, following a number of teasers from ABC. In addition to many professional dancers, this season will include Ally Brooke, Christie Brinkley, Hannah Brown, James Van Der Beek, Karamo Brown (Queer Eye), Kate Flannery (The Office), Kel Mitchell, Lauren Alaina, Mary Wilson, Ray Lewis, Sean Spicer, and Odom himself.

According to Karey Burke, the head of ABC, this new season of Dancing With the Stars will see the long-running series pivot in its format. “It’s about [shifting] the focus of the show to really focus on it being a celebration of dance, and also focusing on the celebrities,” she told TVLine (via Us Weekly).

As for Odom, this marks the latest in a string of high profile appearances for the former NBA star, following the debut of his tell-all book Darkness to Light earlier this year. While promoting the book, which detailed Odom’s sordid history with drugs and alcohol, he repeatedly stressed his desire to reconcile with the Kardashian family and ex-wife Khloé Kardashian.

While we’re not exactly sure that Dancing With the Stars is what will bring Lamar back into the Kardashians’ good graces, we’re still excited to see him bust a move out there.
