Lamar Odom Announces Engagement to Girlfriend Sabrina Parr

Former NBA star Lamar Odom has had one heck of a year. He started 2019 by publishing his New York Times’ best-selling memoir, From Darkness to Light, and now he is getting hitched!

Us Weekly reports that the 40-year-old athlete popped the question to his girlfriend, Sabrina Parr, over the weekend. Parr, a health and life coach from Cleveland, Ohio, shared the happy news on her Instagram, posting a video and two pictures with her gigantic, pear-shaped diamond ring. The caption reads, “I SAID YES!!!!! @lamarodom #mrsparrodom #lamarandsabrina.”

Odom also announced the engagement on his Instagram, posting a picture of him and his bride-to-be at Prime 112 restaurant in Miami, Florida, writing, “Introducing my new fiancé!! Soon to be Mrs. Parr-Odom. She the ONE!!!! @getuptoparr.”

The coming nuptials will be the second for Odom. As you remember, he was married to Khloé Kardashian from 2009-2016. The two were wed after only a month of dating, and spent latter half of their marriage battling Odom’s sex and drug addictions. After his near-death overdose in 2015, Kardashian stayed by the athlete’s side. Odom has thanked his ex-wife publicly since the release of his memoir, saying she will always have a special place in his heart for the support she gave him during his darkest periods.

Now it seems that those dark days are truly behind Odom. Congrats to the happy couple!
