Maci Bookout Calls Out 'Teen Mom OG' for Not Portraying Her Life Accurately
Teen Mom OG officially returned for its eighth season earlier this month, and it looks like drama isn't only occurring on screen. After the latest episode premiered last night, star Maci Bookout took to social media to call out the MTV series for allegedly portraying her story incorrectly.
The 27-year-old reality star headed to Twitter yesterday evening to slam the Teen Mom OG producers, as reported by Us Weekly. "Do I feel like my story is accurately portrayed on the show? Absolutely NOT. Do I wish they’d stop making something/someone my entire story on the show? Absolutely YES!," she wrote, in part.
This is hardly the first time a member of the MTV franchise has taken to the internet to let out their frustrations in how they were being portrayed. In fact, many have speculated that it's the real reason Bristol Palin eventually left the series. In Dec. 2018, a few months before quitting, the former Teen Mom OG star wrote on Instagram:
"@mtv doesn’t want to talk about faith, show work ethic, or juggling three kids alone, they don’t want to show the humble process of starting over after a divorce, building a career, or any real life issues. All they want with my little segment each week is some fake fill-in Farrah Abraham/Jerry Springer BS, and it’s simply not true.”
Other stars, such as Amber Portwood, have also been very outspoken on the fact that they feel MTV portrays them in a negative light.
Since Maci's recent complaint, neither MTV nor Teen Mom OG producers have responded publicly.
