Mackenzie McKee Says She's Disabling Instagram Comments After Trolls Claim Her Son Has 'Rotten Teeth'
It looks like Teen Mom OG star Mackenzie McKee can't even go to the pool to have some fun in the sun with her kids without getting criticized. The drama all started on last week, when McKee posted some photos on her Instagram of her and her three kids, Gannon, Jaxie, and Broncs. The pictures showed the kids hanging out with each other in the water and having some ice cream while the MTV personality lounges in a hot pink bikini. McKee captioned the images, "These kids" alongside a few heart emojis.
However, trolls online put a damper on their innocent family fun when one user pointed out that McKee's youngest son, Broncs, appeared as though he had "rotten teeth." Other people expressed similar worry about the three-year-old boy, wondering if he was sick. Seriously, how can people make a day at the pool so negative?!
As reported by PopCulture.com, the reality star announced in a post shared to her Instagram Story shortly after that, "from here on, any photo I post of my children I will be turning off commenting." She went on to call out those who had left unkind comments about her kids, writing, "I am so sad that adults comment hateful stuff about children." She continued, saying that her followers can, "talk about me all you want. But please, refrain from saying anything negative about my kids." McKee further stated that anyone who speaks ill of her family could "be blocked."
The Instagram post now only shows two supportive comments from fans defending Mackenzie. "Both my children were NICU babies and both had the same medication and both had damaged teeth from it. Ignore all the know it all mums and do what you do for your kids, your a fantastic mum," said one supporter. Another wrote, "Even if he wasn’t fine, if she wanted the world to know something she would say it. Just let her post pictures of her and her kids having a good time!"
It is seriously frustrating how rude people can be on social media, especially to children of someone they don't know. If Mackenzie wants to turn off comments on posts that show her children, she should do whatever she believes is right for her family.
