With the Game of Thrones panel at the San Diego Comic-Con giving some closure to the series’ run, attention is now turning toward the recently teased spinoff prequel. While some fan speculation has suggested the idea of original series characters making appearances in any of the spinoffs, one actor isn’t so sure. Maisie Williams said she doesn’t expect to be involved in another Game of Thrones show.

In an interview with Tings Magazine (via Canoe.com), Williams, who played Arya Stark, said that she doubted that she would be involved in a spinoff. “I can hand-over-my-heart say that I don’t think there’s going to be a spin off,” she said. “The show was only what it was because of David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss], the show’s creators.”

As a spinoff series (one of several) has already been announced by HBO and teased by George R.R. Martin, Williams’ comments presumably refer to the suggestion that there could be a spinoff series following Arya’s adventures after the show’s finale. According to information that Martin offered earlier this month, the first spinoff will take place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, during the original Long Night.

However, while Williams doesn’t think she’ll be involved in any immediate upcoming spinoffs, she also hasn’t ruled out the possibility. “They brought me into this world and it would be strange to do something without them. But I do think playing Arya again would be wonderful," she shared. "I miss her a lot. I think the show needs to stew for a little bit, but maybe a ways down the road.”

We’re excited to see what Williams is up to no matter the role--but, that being said, we love Arya like we love life itself, and we’d also like to see her take another stab at the role.
