Marvel dropped 4 new pics from upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Marvel Studios has dropped four new images from the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The stills provide a good look at the four central characters — Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), Wong (Benedict Wong), and franchise newcomer America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez).

While three of the four images are essentially intense mid-shots of Strange, Wong, and Wanda, the still featuring America Chavez shows her engaged in a bit of action. At a time when online chatter about the rather unambitious visuals of Marvel movies seems to be experiencing yet another bump, these images certainly invite further dissection — especially since they don’t really reveal anything about the film’s closely guarded plot.

Also starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is slated for a theatrical release on May 6.
