Megan Thee Stallion, Ariana Grande and Jimmy Fallon collaborated on the incredibly hilarious, but catchy, tune It was a ... (Masked Christmas) which debuted last night, Dec.6, on The Tonight Show. The three stars really went all out when shooting the music video for the pandemic-inspired Christmas song (which you can watch below) and truly captured the essence of the last year.
Of the song’s meaning, Jimmy Fallon said the late-night talk show, “It’s basically about how last year was just rough on everybody. I wanted to say ‘it’s going to get better. It really is going to get better, trust me,’ and how can I portray that? And also think about what funny things have happened while we were in lockdown, like putting Purell on everything or going on a Zoom, Zooming your grandpa and grandma and seeing where the Wi-Fi works best. So I write this song.”
The video itself is a Christmas treat, from everyone’s over-the-top holiday looks to Megan wearing vaccine needles as nails, it'll have you in stitches in no time!
