Miley Cyrus Wants to Become Better Friends With Ariana Grande
By Jennifer Fabiano
Miley Cyrus admitted in a new SiriusXM interview that she wants to become closer friends with Ariana Grande. Well, don’t we all want to be BFFs with her? Who wouldn’t want to be Ari’s bestie when she takes trips to Tiffany’s with her friends and even gives them leading roles in her music videos?
The musical pair hung out three years ago when Ari appeared on Miley’s YouTube Channel for a duet cover of Don’t Dream It’s Over. While Miley enjoyed the innocent fun in 2015, she’s ready for a something a little more grown up now.
“I just want to go to the club with her,” Cyrus said. “I feel like she needs a friend. I could use a friend, and I would love to start that relationship.”
While many fans would freak over a collab, Miley is focusing strictly on friendship over a professional relationship when it comes to Ariana.
“I’ve been trying to start a real relationship and not ask her to work or try to collaborate too much,” Miley said.
The two artists, who are less than a year apart in age, have relatively similar career paths, both acting on hit preteen shows before focusing on their music careers.
Though Miley isn’t focusing on collaborations just yet, we can’t help but wonder if there will be one in the works sometime soon. After all, Miley’s new song, Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, is pretty on-brand for Ariana these days.
