Modern Family star Jesse Tyler sends 'fake sister' birthday wishes on social media

Modern Family star Jesse Tyler took to Instagram on Thursday to wish his "fake sister", actress Julie Bowen, a happy birthday with a tribute on social media. The 46-year-old actor shared an image with his 3.3 million Instagram followers which showed him posing with his on-screen sister "Claire Dunphy".

"Happy birthday to my beautiful friend and fake sister," the Modern Family alum wrote on Instagram and tagged his long-time pal. Julie Bowen turned 52 on March 3, having been born in 1970 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States.

Julie's on-screen daughter Sarah Hyland also took to her Instagram Stories to share a sweet image with the actress. She wrote, "Happy Birthday Mama" and added "I love you" and tagged Julie in the post.

While her co-stars celebrated her birthday on Instagram, the now 52-year-old actress seemed to keep things low key, choosing to use her platform to share information about the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, instead.
