New 'Game of Thrones' Image May Hint Cleganebowl is Coming
By Hannah Wigandt
Game of Thrones is increasingly becoming bigger and bigger as we get closer towards the premiere. With the official trailer hitting the internet today, along with Entertainment Weekly dropping their 16-cover Game of Thrones editions, it's all coming together and becoming more real.
So of course, even with the little time we have left before kick-off, fans are analyzing these two big drops for what they're worth. Besides all the spoilers hidden in the new trailer, there is something about the EW covers that might reveal something as well.
The 16 covers picture our most beloved characters, and what fans are talking about most is surprisingly the one which shows The Mountain and The Hound together.
The Clegane brothers were reunited in Season 7, and now by what the cover indicates, the brothers will seemingly finally have their showdown, proving what fans call Cleganebowl.
For those who don't remember, Cleganebowl is a theory fans have about the brothers eventually meeting and having the most ultimate of brawls.
But according to CinemaBlend, the cover was the idea of EW, not the guys at HBO, so this is by no means a confirmation that anything of the Cleganebowl variety will happen.
But as we know the brothers still hate each other, so how hard is it to believe that the two best fighters will have their spotlight on the battlefield?
With all the other things Game of Thrones has to answer and resolve this season, we're betting Cleganebowl is not high on the list, but would definitely be enjoyable nonetheless in the midst of all the other fighting we're anticipating.
