New 'Game of Thrones' Theory Predicts How Two Major Characters Will Die [SPOILERS]

This story includes spoilers for 'Game of Thrones' Season 8, Episode 3, "The Long Night."
Now that Game of Thrones’ Battle of Winterfell is over and many main characters remain alive, the survivors are ready to celebrate their victory. But that celebration might not last long, because there’s still at least one more battle to face—and it might be more terrifying than the army of the dead.
The last battle to be fought will presumably be among the living, as the fight for the Iron Throne begins in the next episode. And considering how most of our favorite characters cheated death in “The Long Night,” something tells us they won’t be as lucky in the next fight. The deaths of two major characters might have been foreshadowed already, according to one fan on Reddit.
According to Redditor __djames, the deaths of both Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are coming in the final episodes of Game of Thrones, but with an unexpected twist.
The theory states that Daenerys will still fight for her right to sit on the throne, despite knowing that Jon is the rightful heir. But the Redditor elaborates on the idea by stating that word will get out to Jon’s allies that he is the heir and they will side with him, leaving Daenerys without an army. This will result in her going mad like her late father, King Aerys II Targaryen. The theory predicts:
“Dany will surrender to her father's madness as her claim to the throne diminishes, killing Jon as he tries to protect his family from her rage; Sansa using ‘Chekhov's gun’—literature can't help but repeat itself, sometimes it is necessary—will stab Dany through the heart using the dragonglass dagger Arya gave her in last night's episode—a dagger that was unused throughout the supposed most important episode, though introduced entirely for the viewer.”
The user also claims this was strongly suggested in the scene where Arya reunites with Jon in the premiere episode of season 8. Jon asks how she was able to sneak up on him, which clearly hinted at the assassin sneaking up on the Night King in the latest episode. Arya then asks how he survived being stabbed, to which he replies that he didn’t. This could be foreshadowing his ultimate demise when Daenerys stabs him.
The Redditor continues with a shocking twist:
“Dany will fulfill her destiny as a new queen, though with a caveat: as Jon stated, he was stabbed in the heart but didn't ‘survive,’ just as Dany will be. She will restore a sense of stasis, becoming the Night Queen, bringing together ‘a song of ice and fire,’ and finally showing us why the white walkers have been obsessed with a symbol so similar to the Targaryen sigil since day one.”
This theory would be epic if it turned out to be true, although it would likely be hard to include all of this in just the three remaining episodes. With the Night King out of the way now, the only thing left to resolve is the Iron Throne, and whether Jon or Daenerys will sit on it is on everyone's minds. If one thing’s for sure, it’s that their dynamic has definitely shifted.
