It looks like petitions are becoming a thing for angry fans now more than ever.

While the final season of Game of Thrones was in full swing, fans who were less-than-impressed with the writing decided to take things into their own hands and head to Change.org. Seeking a Season 8 remake with "competent writers," the petition has reached over one million signatures. Of course, the GoT cast has only reacted to this call negatively, and we're assuming the latest petition will be received the same way.

As ComicBook.com reports, fans of both Game of Thrones and Star Wars are fighting to ban showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss from directing the next trilogy from a galaxy far, far away. As of earlier this month, Disney's CEO Bob Iger confirmed the pair will be taking on the next set of Star Wars films. So, unsurprisingly, a new petition has been made.

The petition, simply called "Keep Game of Thrones writers away from Star Wars!," has reached 16,409 signatures at the time of this article. The description, in part, reads:

"It is in the company’s best interest to remove David Benioff and D.B. Weiss as writers on their upcoming film. The writers have a crutch for plot devices and rushed stories, with emphasis on 'shock and awe' storytelling and eager to leave projects half-finished when they have other projects on the horizon. Their respect of lore alone does not make them fit for this project."

While the final season of Game of Thrones was undoubtably far from the series' best, we highly doubt any fan-made petitions will do much concerning the next Star Wars trilogy. Especially since they're generally being viewed as "disrespectful" before anything else.
