New Animated Series All About Nick Fury is Coming to Disney+ This Week
Nick Fury is one of the coolest and most mysterious characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is a highly-skilled secret agent, adept at espionage, a dutiful leader, and, as Tony Stark once said, "[Fury's] secrets have secrets." He is also played by one of the most talented actors of the last few decades, Samuel L. Jackson.
Despite the character appearing in a laundry list of Marvel movies, including Iron Man, Thor, two of the Captain America movies, all of the Avengers films, Captain Marvel, and Spider-Man: Far from Home, among others, viewers hardly ever see what he's up to when he isn't battling aliens with the Avengers. Captain Marvel revealed that Fury started the Avenger initiative after meeting Carol Danvers in the 1980s and how he lost his eye, but I, for one, would love to see what he does on his own time. Luckily for me, Disney+ has announced that it will be releasing an animated series this week based around the covert life of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.
According to NME, the new series Fury Files will explore the files of Marvel heroes and villains through the lens of Fury's top-secret access to S.H.I.E.L.D. intel. The show will feature the voice of Chi McBride, who has previously voiced Fury in several animated productions, including Ultimate Spider-Man and Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel.
I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see what kind of dirt Nick Fury has on everybody! Fury Files will be coming to Disney+ on Friday, May 15. Make sure you can tune in with a subscription to the streaming service here.
