Nick Viall Wants Demi Burnett as the Next Bachelorette With a Twist
While this season of The Bachelor is still in full swing, fans of the ABC franchise are already looking towards the next installment—this year's Bachelorette. Between Kelsey Weier's champagne-gate and Victoria Fuller's White Lives Matter controversy, people aren't exactly feelin' the options currently vying for Peter Weber's love. And as for former Bachelor Nick Viall, he's even looking back at past seasons for the next leading lady.
Speaking with US Weekly, the Season 21 Bachelor star put friend Demi Burnett's name into the mix, with an interesting twist. As the Bachelor in Paradise alum is openly bisexual, Nick thinks the dating show shouldn't put a limit on the sexes competing.
“Demi’s a good friend. So, you know, I’m biased,” Nick shared. “I think she’s funny and interesting and as open to love as anyone else. [I] just personally think she’d be fun to watch.” He added:
“I’m a big fan of Demi and if they were to cast her, it certainly could be an interesting element knowing that she is attracted to both men and women. That would be an interesting element to potentially incorporate. I would be a fan of that, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.”
The 39-year-old reality star went on to admit that out of this season's ladies, “No one really is, kind of, outshining or, you know, potential leads,” however being sure to note, “But that could change as well.”
There's no doubt Bachelor Nation would absolutely love to see Demi return as the next Bachelorette, but Nick has a point—we still have multiple weeks left to see if a favorite emerges from this season.
