Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, and More Sign Letter in Support of Planned Parenthood

Multiple high-profile artists including pop giants Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande have signed a letter of advocacy for Planned Parenthood's new initiative entitled "Bans Off My Body."

According to Complex, other stars in support of the movement are Lady Gaga, Halsey, Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, HAIM, Dua Lipa, Lizzo, and John Legend. Several of these musicians expressed why they are so passionate about this issue. The letter itself reads:

“Our bodies are our own — if they are not, we cannot be truly free or equal. Across the country, some politicians are trying to make decisions about our bodies for us. We won’t let the abortion bans sweeping the country put our lives and futures at risk, and we won’t be silenced while our fundamental right to control our bodies is taken away.”

So far, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Lady Gaga, Beck, Bon Iver, John Legend, Nine Inch Nails, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Nicki Minaj, Troye Sivan, Hayley Kiyoko, and Kacey Musgraves have signed on. https://t.co/3wbwjPZpxp

These artists are asking for fans to sign the petition which helps end abortion bans and restrictions which have recently surfaced. The goal is to collect half a million signatures by the anniversary of Roe v. Wade in January 2020.
