It’s official: Only Murders in the Building season 2 has begun filming and the cast of the hit mystery comedy show celebrated with a selfie. The Hulu show's stars Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short were all smiles in a selfie Steve Martin took and posted to Twitter on Wednesday. The caption read: “Our first day of shooting of “Only Murders in the Building!” We’re all happy to be back.”

Selena Gomez also posted a funny TikTok to her account from set, which totally captured the spirit of our beloved sarcastic Mabel Mora, with the caption, "Day one -back with these dads".

This new season will see another famous face being added to the main cast - Cara Delevingne is set to be a series regular as "Alice, a sophisticated art world insider who becomes enmeshed in the sleuthing podcasters’ latest mystery."

When is the Only Murders in the Building season 2 release date?

We don't yet have an official release date, but co-creator Hoffman has already hinted at a speedy turnaround. In an interview with Queerty, he revealed that season 2 will begin filming by the end of 2021, which means season 2 could arrive as early as mid-2022.
