Original Night King Actor Wasn't Surprised Arya Was the One to Kill Character in 'Game of Thrones'

The final season of the HBO hit series Game of Thrones included the glorious and anxiety-inducing moment where all of our favorite characters were finally under one roof in the North working towards a common goal: killing the Night King.
And while fans had plenty of theories as to who would or who should have the honor of killing the undead leader, it ultimately fell on Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) in a surprising (like, she literally came out of nowhere) and jaw-dropping scene under the Weirwood Tree in Winterfell.
Some were shocked at the decision to have Arya stab the blue-eye villain, but others, including former Night King actor Richard Brake, praised the choice. ScreenRant reports that the Brake, who played the role in seasons four and five before relinquishing to Vladimír Furdík over scheduling conflicts, recently spoke to Consequences of Sound and shared his excitement about Arya saving Westeros.

Brake stated, “I loved the way my character ended up dying because Arya was always my favorite. I wasn't surprised. I thought it was a brilliant development, actually.”
It seems that all of us, including the former Night King, are thanking the Old Gods and the New for Arya Stark, although not everyone loved the way it went down.
