Awesome Fan Art Shows Oscar Isaac as a Live-Action Spider-Man 2099 as Disney+ Series Rumors Circulate
As Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse taught us, there is more than just one incarnation of Spider-Man in the vast comic book world. The film introduced us to characters like Miles Morales, who takes up the moniker after the death of Peter Parker, as well as Spider-Ham/Peter Porker, Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman, Peni Parker, and Spider-Man Noir.
However, only those who watched the duration of the credits met Spider-Man 2099, who travels back through the multiverse to 1967 New York, where he bickers with that Spider-Man pointing meme we're all so fond of. Voiced by none other than Star Wars alum Oscar Isaac, Spider-Man 2099's alias is Miguel O'Hara, a geneticist living in the year 2099 who attempts to recreate the abilities of the original Spider-Man and later ends up causing half of his DNA to be re-written with a spider's genetic code. According to MovieWeb, an artist called Apexform used Isaac's animated portrayal of the character to create a live-action counterpart.

This awesome edit comes after rumors started circulating that Disney+ could have a live-action series based on Miguel O'Hara in the works. Known leaker Mikey Sutton claimed on Facebook, "Spider-Man is coming to television. It just won't be Peter Parker. I received a phone call earlier this evening letting me know that a Spider-Man 2099 live-action show has been discussed for Disney+. In other words, this'll be a Sony-Marvel Studios collaboration if it is greenlit with [Marvel Studios President] Kevin Feige manning the controls."
I don't know about you, but I would watch Isaac as Spider-Man any day of the week. Look how cool he looks in Spider-Man 2099's uniform! Now that he's finished with Star Wars, perhaps he will venture into another one of Disney's franchises. Miguel O'Hara seems like a really interesting addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Only time will tell if this show is actually in the works, and who will play the character.
