Pauley Perrette has confirmed that Mark Harmon was the reason she decided to leave NCIS in 2017.

The duo had been appearing on the show together for over a decade as characters Abby Sciuto (Perrette) and Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Harmon), but apparently they had a falling out after Harmon brought his dog to the set
and it bit another cast member. It is rumored that Harmon was told to never bring the dog to the set again, but that he disregarded the instructions and the incident.

Harmon's lawyer denies this report.

Perrette tweeted on Friday, presumably after being asked when she'll be returning to NCIS, and had a clear answer: Never. And it's because of Harmon.

Perrette also posted pictures of a NCIS crew member with a black eye and stitches. She tweeted, “You think I didn't expect blow back? You got me wrong. THIS happened To my crew member and I fought like hell to keep it from happening again! To protect my crew! And then I was physically assaulted for saying NO!? And I lost my job.”

This is not the first time Perrette has alluded to threats and attacks on set. Back in May 2018, Perrette posted, “There is a 'machine' keeping me silent, and feeding FALSE stories about me. A very rich, very powerful publicity 'machine…No morals, no obligation to truth, and I'm just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew. Trying to remain calm. He did it. I've been supporting ant-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME!”

CBS responded to Perrette’s allegations in a statement to E! News, saying that they were going to miss her on the show. They added, “Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows."

Harmon has not publicly responded to Perrette’s allegations.
