Peter Kay is reportedly coming back to our screens, and people can't be more excited about it.

The fan-favorite comedian has kept an extremely low profile in recent years, a lifestyle change which came after he cancelled a string of shows due to "unforeseen family circumstances." Peter was photographed by paparazzi only a couple of times last year, and has remained out of the public eye in 2019. But according to a report by The Sun, that might all be changing.

BBC is reportedly in talks with Peter for a new show, with a source telling the publication:

“A conversation has been had between Peter and the BBC. There is no rush and whatever happens will always be dictated by Peter but a new project has been discussed. It’s exciting news for Peter’s fans, who have yet to see the void left by Car Share filled.”

Fans are excited to hear the news, with many taking to Twitter to share their excitement. One wrote, "So good to hear something about him. Miss seeing his face on our tv screens." Another added, "Miss him !! Hope he’s ok."

We can't wait to hear more about Peter's plans!
