Prince Harry doubts William, Charles 'would ever forgive me' if he gave more details in Spare
For Prince Harry, there's greater risk than reward in sharing more.
The Duke of Sussex revealed that there were further details he opted not to include in his tell-all memoir, Spare, so he could avoid strains in his relationship with his brother Prince William and father King Charles III.
"There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother, and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don't want the world to know," Harry told The Telegraph on Jan. 13. "Because I don't think they would ever forgive me."
As for how much material didn't make into Spare, which was released on Jan. 10, Harry admitted half of the pages were cut down.
"The first draft was different," he said. "It was 800 pages, and now it's down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out."
