Ramsay Bolton Actor Iwan Rheon Almost Played Jon Snow in 'Game of Thrones'

It's sometimes very difficult to see an actor who plays a character you hate so much as anyone else than their on-screen portrayal, so much so that you might unreasonably dislike the person in real life. An added layer to this would be if the actor almost played a character you love, which is exactly the case with Iwan Rheon.
Rheon played the evil Ramsay Bolton in Game of Thrones until he met his demise in Season 6. His death is arguably the most satisfying of the whole series (so far!), as he was truly a terrible character. But the actor once revealed he was actually up for another role at first.
"I auditioned for the pilot of Game of Thrones, and was down to the last two for Jon Snow," Rheon told The Telegraph.
Eventually, he was cast as simply a character called "Boy."
"I wasn’t allowed to talk to anyone about it from the beginning of filming to the broadcast of the end of season three, I was supposed to say to everyone, 'oh my character is Boy,' which was really embarrassing," Rheon explained. It looks like secrecy surrounding the show was even strict before it began.
Honestly, we can't even begin to imagine Rheon as anyone else besides Ramsay, let alone Jon Snow! After Thrones, the actor went on to score a role in the TV series Inhumans, along with parts in various films. However, we'll probably never stop seeing him as the villainous Ramsay. But hey, at least that means he's a good actor.
