Rick Moranis starred in the 1989 classic Honey, I Shrunk the Kids as scientist and inventor Wayne Szalinski, whose antics accidentally shrink his children and the neighbors' kids. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney announced in February that they are making a reboot of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids entitled Shrunk, which will star Moranis and Josh Gad, who is set to play Wayne's son. But if you can't wait for the reboot to eventually premiere, we've got some fun new content from Disney+.

Moranis can be seen on the new Disney+ series Prop Culture for an episode focused on the 1989 film, in which he admits to taking some props from set. "The only thing I did save from the movies I was in, because I was using prescription glasses, I would usually take a pair of glasses," Moranis said. "I also kept a few 8 x10 photos and used to raise money at auctions. Everything is gone now." The actor told Disney + host Dan Lanigan that he thinks the film is still good thanks to the vision of director Joe Johnston, who will return to direct Shrunk. Fun fact: Johnston is also the director behind Marvel's Captain America.

"[Joe] had the vision of this in his head and on that movie, I was really an actor," Moranis added. "I think I drove him crazy a couple of times because I was trying to get more comedy into it. I was always looking for how to disrupt and get some more jokes in and poor Joe just wanted to make a movie."

Todd Rosenberg is set to write the script for the reboot, with David Hoberman producing. Disney has not yet announced an official release date, but at least we can rewatch the classic movie, and learn more about it through Prop Culture, until then.
