Rihanna Responds to Reports Her New Album is Done
By Jennifer Fabiano
The rumor mill surrounding Rihanna’s ninth studio album is one of the most abundant to date.
While fans have been told by reliable sources that it’s "incredible,” that’s pretty much all they know about the upcoming album. One of the biggest questions fans have is when we'll be receiving the project. RiRi's fanbase has waited three years for new music from the pop star, and they can't wait much longer.
While Rihanna confirmed the new album will drop in 2019, she gave no indication of whether it will be in the coming months or closer to the end of the year.
After online reports spread that RiRi finished the album, fans were ecstatic and celebrating online. “I’M ON THE F*****G FLOOR. LET’S GOOOOO,” wrote one fan on social media.
But RiRi didn’t let the celebration go on for too long. Responding to the happy fan, she wrote, “It ain’t done til it’s done sis.”
Last week, record producer The-Dream admitted that, “she’s cooking, she’s about done.” The-Dream wouldn’t give away any juicy details about the album, like if it's the reggae-inspired project Rihanna teased last year, but when asked if she was done working on it, he said she’s “super close.”
Last week, Rihanna celebrated the three-year anniversary of Anti, and discussed her gratitude for her music career on Twitter.
We have a feeling that Rihanna won't let her fans know when she finishes the album or plans to drop it, so they'll be on the edge of their seats until it's released.
