Riverdale's Camila Mendes has just landed a role in new Netflix film Windfall, directed by Michael Scott.

According to Deadline, Mendes will play Katie, a woman who gives up her dreams of going into a medical profession to instead support her husband's ambitions. The movie centers around her and her husband Adam, and how they struggle to have a life together as they find themselves in the middle of a criminal investigation. Filming will start this month.

Mendes is now no stranger to Netflix movies, she also stars in The Perfect Date, which premieres on the streaming site Friday.

Along with Windfall, Mendes also has another project coming up called Palm Springs, a comedy directed by Max Barbakow. Andy Samberg, Cristin Milioti and J.K. Simmons will co-star with Mendes. Palm Springs is about a couple, Nyles and Sarah, who meet at a wedding and can't escape each other, or the venue. Mendes plays Tala, the bride at the wedding.

Despite Mendes breaking out into films she will be reprising her role as Veronica Lodge in the hit CW show Riverdale, for its fourth season.
