Rob Kardashian is Back on Instagram After Ban

Though Rob Kardashian is in the spotlight less than his prolific sisters and mother, his online presence has attracted significant attention--especially in the past several years, following his ban from Instagram after posting sexually explicit photos of his then-partner Blac Chyna during their breakup. Recently, however, there have been new developments in Kardashian’s ban, with a new Instagram account being set up for him, albeit with a number of restrictions.

According to Us Weekly, Kardashian’s new account can only exist under a number of conditions. Kardashian may not manage the page (instead, it’s being managed by "Jenner Communications"), post photos of himself, write captions or his bio in the first person, or create his own content.

Despite the restrictions, Kardashian’s account has been active in promoting his professional and personal life, posting photos of his two-year-old daughter and advertising his sock company, Arthur George. So far, the account has posted nine photos and boasts over 361 thousand followers.

The account’s profile has also been promoted by sister Kourtney Kardashian, who shared a screenshot of it on her own Instagram Story with the caption “Follow @robkardashianofficial,” according to Us.

Despite Kardashian’s ban from Instagram, he maintains an active presence on Twitter, where he has posted explicit photos of Chyna and, more recently, engaged in flirtations with Dominican singer Natti Natasha. Since the controversy over the photos, Kardashian and Chyna have reportedly maintained an amicable relationship in order to raise their daughter.

If you ask us, it’s good to see Kardashian’s Instagram receive some restrictions after the controversy. While we’re glad that he and Chyna have reconciled, it’s also important that social media sites work to cultivate inclusive and safe platforms.
