'13 Reasons Why' Actor Ross Butler is Rallying to Star in Live-Action Batman Beyond Project
Fans are already well acquainted with Ross Butler for his role as Zach Dempsey on 13 Reasons Why, and it looks like he's got his eyes set on much bigger part for his next move. According to the star himself, he wants to play Batman.
Ross, who has also appeared on Riverdale, spoke out on the prospect of a live-action Batman Beyond going into production. On his Twitter account, as CBR reports, the actor shared a side-by-side image of himself and his would-be character, Terry McGinnis. "Can we?... is this... a thing?," he wrote.
Ross wasn't too far off-base in trying to manifest the future role, because fans apparently had been thinking about it, too. "YES I HAVE BEEN CAMPAIGNING FOR YOU FOR YEARS," one person tweeted in response.
"I would love it!! It's one of my favorite childhood cartoons and I think you're perfect for it!! You have the same energy," another tweeted.
Of course, this is all dependent on whether a live-action version ever happens or not. While there's no plans to do so just yet, Ross is raring and ready for when it happens!
In the meantime, Ross is reflecting on the legacy the final season 13 Reasons Why left behind. In an interview with E! News earlier this month, he said, "Throughout the show, the one lesson that we keep pushing over and over is that you need each other. You build a community, and that is the community that you turn to for inspiration, that you turn for advice, to help take care of you and for you to take care of them."
Here's to hoping Ross' next role after the beloved teen drama is epic, Batman or not!
