Samuel L. Jackson Reminds Fans He Wants to Reprise Mace Windu Role in Another 'Star Wars' Movie

Samuel L. Jackson may be busy right now with his role as Nick Fury in the MCU, but the actor would love to reprise his role for another world-renowned franchise.
Jackson was a fan-favorite in the Star Wars prequel trilogy as Mace Windu before the character's death at the hands of Emperor Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith.
But from Jackson's viewpoint, Mace's death in the 2005 film doesn't mean he can't reprise the role. When recently asked by JOE if he would be interested in returning to the role, Jackson confirmed, stating, "I’m that guy. All they got to do is call.”
This was the latest of many reminders from Jackson over the past couple of years that he's game for return to a galaxy far, far away. In an interview last summer with Red Carpet News TV, Jackson expressed similar sentiments, stating, “Yeah, I’m totally interested in revisiting Mace Windu, always. Jedi never die.”
And at the 2017 Star Wars Celebration, Jackson expressed his belief that the purple lightsaber-wielding Jedi is still alive, and he's the only man fit to play him.
“I know you're all in my corner on this. We all know Jedi can fall from incredible heights and survive, so apparently, I am not dead,” Jackson said. "Mace Windu is awaiting his return, let's make it happen!”
While there has been no indication that Disney has made any moves to take Jackson up on his offer to return to the role, you never know where the space opera will go next. So there's always hope.
